This is a fully-searchable library of works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, plus biographies, bibliographies, and key secondary sources.
Dictionary of Literary Biography
The digital version of the standard literary resource (comprised of three series) for biographical and critical material on the lives, works and careers of the world's most influential literary figures from all eras and genres. This is an invaluable source for tracing the work and reputation of an author.
Literature Criticism Online
This database presents the complete literary commentary from two major critical reference series--Contemporary Literary Criticism (CLC) and Twentieth Century Literary Criticism (TCLC). CLC covers current, active authors or those who died after 1999, while TCLC covers authors 1901--1999.NoveList K-8 Plus
A wonderful reading resource for kids, children's librarians and school media specialists, it has information on over 85,000 fiction and nonfiction titles for kids in the K-8 age range. NoveList Plus
Helping people find good things to read, this database covers over 161,000 fiction and over 60,000 nonfiction titles for all ages. In addition to finding books by author, title or subject heading you can also search by plots and for read-alikes and other books in series. The big bonus: it's linked to the library's catalog.
Salem Literature
Provides online access to several Salem Press literary resources in the Library's print collection, including Critical Surveys of Long Fiction, Magill's Literary Annuals, and Masterplots.
